Mendes Leads Gators To Victory in Pine Manor InvitationalPublished by
CHESTNUT HILL, MA—Pine Manor junior Cheska Mendes (Dorchester, MA), above left, finished with a first-place time of 22:13.00 to help lead Pine Manor to a team victory in Thursday s Pine Manor College Invitational in Chestnut Hill, MA. The Gators finished with a team score of 41 points, placing four runners in the top 10 of the field that also included Mount Ida, Newbury, Daniel Webster, and Wheelock. Mount Ida finished with an overall score of 48 points, led by a second place finish from Jeileen Rivera. They were followed by Newbury with 52 points and Daniel Webster with 69 points. Wheelock College did not register a team score, as the Wildcats only finished four runners. However, Wheelock s Danielle Gaudette was the fourth overall finisher in the field. Thursday s meet also served as a Dual Meet between Pine Manor and Mount Ida with the Gators capturing a 26-29 victory over the Mustangs. TEAM RESULTS
